 State Displaced Homemaker Minimize

The State Displaced Homemakers Program is intended to provide employment and training services to individuals who have been dependent upon someone else for support and who through death, disability of a spouse or divorce no longer have such support.

These services are provided to Montana residents 18 years of age or older who has primarily cared for the home and family without compensation and for that reason have diminished marketable skills; and have been dependent on public assistance or on the income of a relative but are no longer supported by that income; or are unemployed or underemployed and are experiencing difficulty in obtaining suitable employment or is a criminal offender.

Participants will have access to case management, job training, job search assistance, and resume/interview skills.
